Its back to back meetings and our next one will be Tuesday 6th May - Competition 6 - The Image of the Year for the Clive Rowley Trophy.

All 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed entries in the previous 5 competitions for Print and PDI will be judged plus wildcard entries will be allowed by any member who does not have an image already in either category.  Judging will be by John Haines who is nationally approved of the Midlands Counties Photographic Federation (MCPF).

A little about our trophy.  Dr Clive Rowley was a long-term member of Rocester & District Camera Club who died in 2023.  Clive was a talented photographer and watercolour artist.  An alumnus of Cambridge University Medical School, he worked as a GP in Staffordshire.  In his memory the club purchased the trophy and it was first awarded at the end of last season.

Our previous club night was a photographic scavenger hunt around our new home town Uttoxeter - Great fun was had capturing images and working down the list of 'somethings'.

Something with numbers on, red, old, with legs, close up, far away, that makes you feel happy, with wheels, natural and representing a hobby.  As the light dimmed we met for a well earned refreshment and a convivial catch up.

We now need to choose up to 3 images from the evening to submit as PDI for a bonus competition to be held following the AGM on May 20th which will be judged by Phil Staff our Chair for his coveted prize!

• Rocester and Uttoxeter Camera Club is a friendly and welcoming club for people of all skill levels.
• From a point and click camera to a full DSLR or Mirrorless System Camera and, of course, the camera we always have our smartphones
• Everybody is welcome to come and enjoy and share their love of photography. 
• We regularly meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday evenings, from start of September through to end of May AND if there is a 5th Tuesday we have an additional meeting!
